Ann Fergusson (1958-65)

After leaving school, worked for a year in Dad's studio and as an emergency teacher in Leopold Infants (near famed Curzon Crescent).  Then did Geography at the NW London Poly (now swish apartments) and a PGCE at the Institute.  Had a wonderful time in my 20's. Nuff said. Circumnavigated the Globe (that looks quite rude), teaching in Jamaica, Bedfordshire, Australia and Greece, and finally settled in N.London teaching and managing English as an additional language for Barnet and bringing up only beloved son, Terry.   For the last 6 years have been teaching in a local large tough Catholic comp. quite fancy retirement but son, dog Snoopy (Cairn Terrier), and holidays, especially annuals to Jamaica to visit family and friends eat up the pathetic salary......anyway, don't really want to leave teaching which I love.  Manage to do some exercise swimming, a little gardening and dog walking, still a devoted Private Eye reader and telly couch potato. Housework dwindling as Terry is now rarely home, being 21.  Most Sundays spent with aged Mum who is still very bright although, like me, physically falling apart.  Still interested in politics but not active any more.  Social life expanding now son is almost gone, apart from Old Uffs have started seeing quite a few old friends again which is really pleasant and quite unexpected.
