1962 School Trip to Germany

The School Trip stayed at Hotel zur Krone in Bonn, Bahnhof Strasse 38 - almost opposite the railway station. The photograph below was probably taken outside the Bundestag by Mr Copson. Alongside the photo, there is the write-up from the School Magazine Summer 1962.

The Group during their stay visited Cologne, Koblenz, went up to the Ehrenbreitstein on a sort of ski lift and up the Drakenfels. They also visited a monastry at Maria Lachen and went to a castle (Bruhl?) where the party had to wear overshoes to protect the floors (maybe that was only the girls wearing stilettos?).
