From the local Willesden paper April 1st 1960:-

New County Champions

The new Middlesex schools junior hockey champions are Willesden County Grammar School.  They won the final of the championship for the first time ever last Saturday by beating the holders N. London Collegiate 1-0 at Barnes.

After seven minutes of fast exciting hockey they scored and then successfully defended their own goal despite constant pressure from their opponents.

Two Defeats

After the team had been formed two years ago, it played against older and more experienced opposition but suffered only two defeats.  This experience proved invaluable and this season the team has not lost an inter-school game, having scored 47 goals and conceded only four.

Its path to the final was as follows: Preliminaries beat Paddington 2-0; Maida Vale; Parliament Hill 2-0; Burling(?) 1-0; drew with Hendon 0-0; Hampstead 1-1.  Semi-finals beat The Green, Isleworth 3-?; Palmers Green 1-0; Bishopsha? 1-0.
