A key moment in the history of
Willesden County - The Celebration of Mr Wallis' 80th Birthday
A Dinner was held at Warne's Hotel, Worthing on 26th November 1960 with 74
guests to celebrate Mr Wallis' 80th Birthday. Mr. Wallis was the first
headmaster of Willesden County from 1924 to 1947. Included in the guest
list was Dr. Roberts (the 2nd and last headmaster) and his then current members of
staff. Extract from the Summer 1961 School Magazine: 'It was a most happy
and memorable occasion when Mr Wallis made one of the most felicitous speeches
of his long career'.
